Oakland Youth Aspire (formerly known as What Now America) is a free youth program open every Saturday, 12 to 5 PM.

OYA enriches the lives of youth by creating a fun and welcoming environment that promotes a healthy lifestyle and fosters open communication, empathy, and the development of interpersonal skills.

What Now America (now Oakland Youth Aspire) was profiled in the May-June issue of Oakland Magazine, “Energetic nonprofit founder works to help West Oakland youth” showcasing our Executive Director, Milad Yazdanpanah. In the article, Milad talks about healthy nutrition being a big part of our program, with the preparation of healthy lunches and grocery distribution. Milad Yazdanpanah, was awarded the Jefferson Award for Outstanding Public Service. Milad’s years of dedication, service & selflessness are being recognized and we are thrilled to congratulate him on this amazing honor.
