Program Description

We believe in providing an interactive and fun environment that youth of all backgrounds can collaboratively learn together.  Every Saturday we create and implement games, interactive group activities, and exercise to support our social emotional learning curriculum.  Social emotional learning is a process for learning life skills, including how to strengthen self awareness, navigate relationships with others, and how to effectively work together.  At Oakland Youth Aspire, we value and celebrate the importance of communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.

Since our participants’ ages vary between 5 to 18 years old, the activities are appropriate to each age group.

We strive to give personal, one-on-one attention by talking and listening to youth and forming trusting, long-lasting relationships.
